Brigade Command & Battle Staff Training

The Battle Command Training Program (BCTP) Operations Group annually compiles these "perceptions" from Observer/Controllers from the Brigade Command & Battle Staff Training Team (BCBST). The Center for Army Lessons Learned is now disseminating Perceptions II as part of the overall Combat Training Center (CTC) Trends effort.

BCBST Perceptions II is divided into two sections: Section I, a selection guide with "bulletized" statements of the perceptions, organized by the Battlefield Operating System (BOS) and categorized in accordance with TRADOC Pamphlet 11-9, Blueprint of the Battlefield; Section II, with narrative descriptions of the perceptions which, where available and appropriate, include techniques and procedures effective in producing positive battlefield performance.

BCBST Perceptions II will now be included in the CTC Trends database, along with trends from the other BCTP teams, the National Training Center (NTC), the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and the Combat Maneuver Training Center (CMTC).
