FOREWORD
The goal of this bulletin is to provide commanders with current, useful, warfighting information. It presents Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) along with other relevant information from the Combat Training Centers (CTCs). The linkage from our training laboratories to our schools and units must be strong and timely. The Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) intends to publish this product periodically, to keep you informed of CTC information, observations and trends.
CALL has designed this bulletin to assist in the improvement of standing operating procedures and training programs. A key point to remember when reviewing this bulletin: while there are doctrinal, materiel, and organizational solutions to the problems identified, training still offers the greatest potential for ensuring TOTAL ARMY combat readiness.
The information in this bulletin does not supplant that now found in doctrinal publications and is not intended to drive the conduct of operations and training. Rather, this bulletin is designed to highlight information and lessons from CTC rotations that are applicable for combat operations.
This bulletin is designed for your use and dissemination. CALL is attempting to capture the insights and experiences of the Total Army, and we need your input. If you have relevant articles, please forward them to CALL. Contact us at DSN 552-2255 or 3035, FAX DSN 552-3959, or commercial (913) 684-3959. Comments concerning this newsletter should be addressed to the Commander, Combined Arms Command, ATTN: ATZL-CTL, Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027-7000.
