The Israeli regime continues to violate the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon by carrying out near-daily air and artillery strikes on the Arab country.
According to Lebanese sources, Israeli warplanes on Sunday launched fresh air raids targeting the outskirts of the town of Bodai, in the eastern Baalbek region.
Several more strikes were reported on the outskirts of the towns of Arzi and Burj Rahal, northeast of Tyre district.
Also in the south, the area of Kfar Melki in Sidon district was targeted, as were two towns on the banks of the Litani River, and several towns in the mountainous Iqlim al-Tuffah region.
There are reports of Israeli attacks near the towns of Tebna and Baisarieh in the Sidon district, as well as one near Al-Qasmieh River in Al-Zahrani province.
In a statement, the Israeli military said the strikes were directed at infrastructure used for "storing and producing strategic weapons" and a "rocket launch site."
Since the start of the November 27 ceasefire between Tel Aviv and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, Israeli occupation forces have been launching assaults on Lebanon, including airstrikes throughout the Arab nation, breaching the agreement.
Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement more than 3700 times since it was reached last November, killing hundreds of civilians.
On January 27, 2025, Lebanon announced its decision to extend the ceasefire with Israel until February 18.
Although the deadline of February 18 has passed, Israel continues to maintain its occupation of five significant regions in southern Lebanon, namely Labbouneh, Mount Blat, Owayda Hill, Aaziyyeh, and Hammamis Hill, all situated near the border.
Lebanon has condemned the continued presence of Israeli military forces, viewing it as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and the established timeline for withdrawal. Senior officials in Beirut have expressed their commitment to take "all necessary measures" to remove the occupying troops from the nation.
The border between southern Lebanon and the Israeli-occupied land has been monitored by international troops of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) for decades. UNIFIL has recorded the numerous violations carried out by the Israeli regime forces with impunity.
