One person has been killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire being in place between the two sides.
The Lebanese citizen was killed on Sunday evening after a car was targeted in the Israeli drone strike in the town of Meiss El Jabal, Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported, citing the Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center.
According to the report, Israeli forces shot and injured a Lebanese citizen in the town of Ramyeh, also located in southern Lebanon, on Sunday evening.
There were no further details about the two incidents which are the latest cases of violations of the ceasefire deal by Israel.
The fragile truce came into force in late November 2024, ending 14 months of clashes between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement, which escalated into a full-scale conflict in September.
