New Zealand Defence Force
The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), in conjunction with Australian authorities, are monitoring a People's Liberation Army - Navy (PLA-N) Task Group in the Tasman Sea, in international waters about 350 nautical miles northeast of Australia's Bass Strait.

The Chinese naval task group of three ships was this morning south of Tasmania, inside the Australian EEZ, and moving west.
The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), in close coordination with the Australian Defence Force, continues to monitor the task group.
The NZDF assets being used to monitor the task group are the Anzac-class frigate HMNZS Te Kaha and maritime sustainment vessel HMNZS Aotearoa.
