New Zealand Defence Force
The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), in conjunction with Australian authorities, are monitoring a People's Liberation Army - Navy (PLA-N) Task Group in the Tasman Sea, in international waters about 350 nautical miles northeast of Australia's Bass Strait.

The Chinese naval Task Group of three ships was this morning 218 nautical miles east of Hobart, Tasmania.
The New Zealand Defence Force is using ships and aircraft to continue to monitor the Task Group, in close coordination with the Australian Defence Force.
The NZDF assets being used to monitor the Task Group are the Anzac-class frigate HMNZS Te Kaha, maritime sustainment vessel HMNZS Aotearoa, and Royal New Zealand Air Force P-8A Poseidon flights.
