  • Egypt orders three Airbus Military C295 aircraft EADS 29 Oct 2010 -- The Egyptian Air Force (EAF) signed a contract with Airbus Military for the acquisition of three C295 aircraft. The aircraft are to be delivered from 2011 and will be used to increase the Egyptian Air Force’s capacity in tactical and logistic transport. The Egyptian Air Force herewith becomes a new Airbus Military customer.
  • General Dynamics Awarded $12 Million by U.S. Navy for Aegis MK82 Illuminators General Dynamics 29 Oct 2010 -- General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products was recently awarded an $11.5 million contract by the U.S. Navy for the production of six Aegis MK82 Illuminators, which include the MK82 guided missile director and the MK200 controller systems. Production will begin in early 2011. The contract has a total potential value of $29.5 million, and deliveries will be completed by July 2013, if all options are exercised. General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
  • Lockheed Martin to Reach Two Decades of IT Support to Air Force Air Mobility Command Lockheed Martin 29 Oct 2010 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] is set to surpass the two decade milestone of information technology support to the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) Directorate of Logistics with the recent award of a $65 million task order. The award consists of one base year and four option years and is a task order under the GSA Alliant indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity vehicle.
  • U.S. Navy Awards Raytheon $14.8 Million for Helicopter Protection System Raytheon 29 Oct 2010 -- The Department of the Navy's Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) a $14.8 million contract to produce dual pod countermeasures dispensers for U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 heavy-lift helicopters. Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC) will manufacture the units at its Indianapolis operation.
