  • Dornier Flugzeugwerft GmbH receives support contract for P-3C Orion EADS 12 May 2006 -- Dornier Flugzeugwerft GmbH (DFW) has received the contract for the system support of the P-3C Orion CUP (Capabilities Upkeep Programme) for the German Navy's eight maritime patrol aircraft. The consortium of DFW with Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH (ESG) and the Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement (BWB) signed a contract today, Friday, May 12th, 2006, for the system support of the P-3C Orion CUP.
  • Spanish Eurofighter performs first air-to-surface weapon release EADS 12 May 2006 -- The first deliveries of air-to-surface weapons in the history of the Eurofighter programme were carried out by EADS CASA Military Air Systems (MAS) on the 4th and 5th of May. “As we have been nominated to conduct these first weapon release trials within the Eurofighter community, we are proud to announce that the next-generation combat aircraft Eurofighter is getting closer to reach the full multirole and subsequent swing-role capability”, said Pablo de Bergia, CEO of EADS Defence & Security Systems Spain, after this significant programme milestone.
