  • POWELL / MIDEAST VOA 15 May 2004 -- Secretary of State Colin Powell is calling for greater cooperation toward a common approach to Iraq and toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Mr. Powell was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Jordan.
  • GAZA / ATTACK VOA 15 May 2004 -- Israel launched missile strikes Saturday against two leaders of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza, in apparent retaliation for the killing of 13 soldiers this week. Both leaders escaped without injury, and their supporters vowed to launch revenge attacks.
