  • EGYPT / PALESTINIANS VOA 07 Dec 2003 -- A dozen Palestinian factions meeting in Cairo failed to reach agreement on a comprehensive cease-fire offer to Israel. V-O-A's Greg LaMotte reports from the Egyptian capital, some Palestinian factions had indicated earlier in the day that agreement had been reached on a conditional cease-fire, which Israel said would be unacceptable.
  • PALESTINIAN TALKS / REACT VOA 07 Dec 2003 -- The breakdown of cease-fire talks between Palestinian factions in Cairo is being described as a setback in efforts to bring about peace in the Middle East.
