- U-N / AFGHAN REFUGEES VOA 11 Dec. 2001-- Relief agency officials at the United Nations today (Tuesday) welcomed the re-opening of a bridge linking Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The officials say, with the bridge now open, they will be able deliver supplies more quickly to northern Afghanistan.

- ATK Awarded $16 Million Contract to Produce Rocket Motors for Sparrow Missile ATK 11 Dec 2001 -- ATK (Alliant Techsystems)(NYSE: ATK) has been awarded a $16 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., to exercise an option for the procurement of 968 rocket motors for the Sparrow tactical missile. Of the 968 motors, 266 are for air-to-air missions and 702 are for surface-to-air missions.
- Boeing and U.S. Air Force Open First F-22 Training Facility Boeing 11 Dec 2001 -- Boeing and the U.S. Air Force celebrated the opening of the first F-22 maintenance training facility Nov. 29 with a ribbon-cutting and site dedication ceremony at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
