- NASSCO Delivers the USNS Pomeroy to the U.S. Navy General Dynamics 16 Aug 2001 -- National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), today announced the delivery of the USNS Pomeroy (T-AKR 316) to the U.S. Navy. The Pomeroy is the seventh new construction ship completed by NASSCO under the U.S. Navy's Strategic Sealift Program.
- Lockheed Martin Wins Royal Netherlands Navy P-3C Capabilities Upkeep Program Lockheed Martin 16 Aug 2001 -- Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (NE&SS)-Tactical Systems has been selected as the prime contractor for the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) P-3C Capabilities Upkeep Program (CUP). Lockheed Martin's RNLN P-3C CUP solution is a highly integrated sensor, communication and mission system upgrade.
- Lockheed Martin Delivers First "Hawkeye" Target Sight System To Bell Helicopter Textron Lockheed Martin 16 Aug 2001 -- Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control delivered its first Hawkeye eXtended Range (XR) Target Sight System (TSS) to Bell Helicopter, a Textron company. during a brief ceremony in Orlando Aug. 15.
- Northrop Grumman Awarded Navy Contract for the Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Program Northrop Grumman 16 Aug 2001 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Integrated Systems Sector (ISS), has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center-Dahlgren Division to develop an airborne mine detection system for the U.S. Marine Corps.
