Pre- and Post-Hurricane Katrina

The comparative satellite imagery below shows the New Orleans Superdome stadium before and after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in late August 2005. The before image was taken by the Space Imaging Ikonos satellite on 19 December 2000. The after image was taken on 30 August 2005 by the ORBIMAGE ORBVIEW-3 satellite. Clearly visible is the structural damage inflicted on the roof of the stadium by Hurricane Katrina.
