82nd Training Group [82nd TRG]
The 82nd Training Group is tasked with educating officers, airmen, and DOD Civilians, infusing lifetime values and war-fighting skills for its global customers. The 82nd TRG produces and instructs faculty development, maintenance officer, aircraft maintenance, and enlisted aircrew courses. Additionally, it also writes career development courses.
The 82nd Training Group provides resident and nonresident aircraft maintenance training at ten locations in the U.S. Three training squadrons and one training support squadron execute training for 30,600 U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, and international graduates annually.
Training includes aerospace ground equipment, aerospace propulsion systems, aircraft fuels systems, aircrew egress systems, vehicle body repair, survival equipment, metals technology, structural maintenance, nondestructive inspection, aircrew life support training, aircraft maintenance officer, crew chief, analysis, scheduling, loadmaster, aircraft armament, and munitions career fields.
The group also provides instructor training for four groups and designs, develops, maintains, and distributes interactive courseware for three groups.
The 82nd TRG is composed of 3 squadrons, the 361st, 362nd and the 363rd TRS.
