DDG-15 Berkeley
The USS Berkeley (DDG-15) was one of the Charles F. Adams Class Missile Guided Destroyers. She was named after General Randolph Carter Berkeley USMC. On 29 AUgust 1960, Berkeley was laid down by the New York Shipbuilidng Corporation in Camden, New Jersey. She was launched on 29 July 1961 and commissioned 15 December 1962.
The USS Berkeley (DDG-15) was decommissioned and stricken from the Naval Vessel Register on 1 May 1992. On 1 October 1992, she was sold to Greece and renamed Thermistocles.
