51st Troop Command
The 51st Troop Command provides administrative and logistical support, and functions as a higher headquarters to Two Engineer Battalions, One Military Police Battalion, and several separate companies/detachments.
In May 2001 the 51st assisted Boston with crowd control during the Boston Marathon.
Soldiers from the 51st Troop Command's 972nd Military Police Company were among the first in Massachusetts to qualify using the new tungsten-based bullet.
