49th Special Troops Battalion
The mission of the 49th Special Troops Battalion is to provide Command and Control, for the operational training and deployment readiness of a Mortuary Affairs Company (54th Quartermaster Company), Field Service Company (16th Quartermaster Company) and a Petroleum Liaison Detachment (3d Quartermaster Detachment). The unit is also tasked with supporting Peacetime and Wartime Contingency Missions.
The mission of the 16th Quartermaster Company (Field Services) is to provide field service support in the form of laundry, showers, and textile renovation. The unit also supports peacetime and wartime missions.
