450th Chemical Battalion
In January 1985, David A. Van Kleeck helped to activate the 450th Chemical Battalion in Houston, Texas, and was the first Executive Officer of the battalion. He was an instructor for the Command and General Staff Officer Course in the 4151st U. S. Army Reserve Forces School from October 1987 until November 1988. BG Van Kleeck commanded the 450th Chemical Battalion from November 1988 until September 1992.
The 450th Chemical Battalion has a training associate relationship with the 4th Infantry Division.
