421st Regiment (Regional Training Institute)

The Nevada Army Guard's 421st Regiment includes the agency's military academy and two aviation units. The Nevada Army National Guard 421st Regiment Regional Training Institute is the schoolhouse for the Nevada Army National Guard, located in Reno and Las Vegas Nevada.

The 1-421st Regiment was previously the home of the Nevada Military Academy. The 1-421st Regiment conducts professional development training for a variety of MOSQ, NCO development and Officer training. The 1-421st RTI conducts the following courses: Officer Candidate School; Non-Commissioned Officer Development and Continuing Education Schools; Basic Training Orientation; Combat Lifesaver Medic Training; and Military Occupation Specialty Training and certification.
