40th Military Police Company
The 40th has served in WWII, Luzon and the southern Philippines as well as in the Korean War. Individual soldiers from our unit volunteered and served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
The state missions have included security for the space shuttle, forest fires in 1987, the 1992 L.A. riots, the Northridge earthquake of 1993, guarding stealth fighters and bombers in 1999. The unit, following the events of September 11, 2001, also provided force protection for the terrorist activities on the east coast.
The company does overseas deployments to Germany, Japan, Korea, the Ukraine and Italy to supplement the active component.
The 40th MP Company has a diverse base of soldiers. We have students, pilots, mechanics, police officers, businessmen and women, fire fighters, carpenters and many other occupations within our ranks. We are fortunate to have so many segments of our community represented in our company.
