336th Finance Command
The 336th Finance Command is at Lake Charles, Louisiana. The 336th FINCOM supports Operation Brightstar every 2nd year in Egypt. They provide all travel, mil pay and vendor pay support for soldiers in this joint operation. Plans are for the 336th to take DDS with them on the next Brightstar Operation.
Future Finance System (FFS) requirement was validated this POM and funding was programmed for FY02-FY07. The FFS will be the primary source system to conduct finance and accounting operations for deployed units. The system will be fielded beginning in FY02 to both AC and RC units. The USAR 336th Finance Command (Lake Charles, LA) will be one of the first RC Commands to receive the system due to their frequent deployments. Fielding over the next 6 years will be based on deployment and warfight requirements.
