Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team
The mission of the Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division is to perform security and communications for the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division. The Battalion is prepared to support the State of Minnesota with a trained and ready combat force.
The Battalion is part of the Minnesota Army National Guard and headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota. As of 11 January 2011, there were 4 major units in the Special Troops Battalion: the Battalion's Headquarters and Headquarters Company in Bloomington, Minnesota; A Company, also in Bloomington; B Company in Moorhead, Minnesota; and C Company in Hutchinson and Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
