The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 21 October 1988, consisting of a gold lion grasping a gold key with a silver gray diamond shaped bow bearing a gold disc all entwined and supported by a black scroll inscribed "SERVE PAY DEFEND" in gold letters. The insignia is to be worn in pairs. Silver gray and golden yellow (gold) are the colors traditionally associated with the Finance Corps. The lion symbolizes the strength and pride of the unit; he holds a key alluding to security. The diamond shaped bow of the keys, resembles the Finance Corps insignia and bears a gold disc implying coinage.
