3-133rd Field Artillery Battalion

In February 2002 the 3rd Battalion, 133rd Field Artillery unit of the Texas National Guard began packing for a six-month tour of duty along the Texas-Mexico border. The battalion has about 500 members, but not all were deployed. A total of 1,641 National Guard soldiers were called to duty to help secure the northern and southern US borders.
