Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 25th Infantry Division

The Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 25th Infantry Division was first constituted on 26 August 1941 in the Army of the United States as Headquarters, 25th Infantry Division and activated on 1 October 1941 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. It was allotted on 27 June 1949 to the Regular Army.

The unit was reorganized and redesignated on 1 April 1960 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 25th Infantry Division.

The unit was reorganized and redesignated on 16 November 2005 as Headquarters and Tactical Command Posts, 25th Infantry Division.

The unit was reorganized and redesignated on 16 January 2010 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. The 25th Infantry Division Special Troops Battalion was inactivated and reflagged as elements of the new Battalion.
