1st Field Artillery Training Battalion
The 1st Field Artillery Training Battalion, Region A, is responsible for Field Artillery MOSQ and NCOES training through skill level four.
The 1st Field Artillery Training Battalion provides regionalized TRADOC approved 13 Career Management Field MOS Qualification and Noncommissioned Officer Education System Courses for the Army National Guard (ARNG), United States Army Reserve (USAR), and the Active Component.
The 1st Field Artillery Training Battalion is functionally aligned with the United States Army Field Artillery School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Within Region A of the Total Army School System, Field Artillery Training is presently conducted at Regional Training Sites located in six states, each of whom are functionally aligned with the 1st Field Artillery Training Battalion. The Battalion is headquartered at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts. Regional Training Sites conducting Field Artillery Training include New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Maine, with the Battalion in Massachusetts executing a piece of the mission as well.
As of early 2002, courses taught in the Active Duty for Training (ADT) mode are executed primarily in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
