Troop Support Battalion - 1st Corps Support Command

The TSB mission is to deploy, establish base operations, and provide administrative and logistical support to the Tactical Operations Center (TOC), the Assault Command Post (ACP), and the Corps Materiel Management Center (CMMC) forward. Provide command and control to all assigned and attached personnel.

The Troop Support Battalion, 1st Corps Support Command, was originally organized as Headquarters, Special Troop Headquarters in December 1971. The unit was reorganized into the Operation Support Battalion in February 1974; and as Special Troop Headquarters in April 1977. It deactivated in September 1980.

The unit was reactivated as Headquarters, Special Troops Battalion in November 1981. It was provisionally reorganized as a separate headquarters in January 1991 during Operation Desert Storm.

The unit was unmanned in April 1992 to provide spaces for provisional Corps Support Battalion. It was reorganized as Headquarters, Special Troops Battalion in May 1995.

The Troop Support Battalion provides organizational level administration, training, maintenance support, and supply and services to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Corps Support Command, 2nd Support Center, 330th Movement Control Battalion and any assigned or attached units.
