167th Engineer Company (Assault Ribbon Bridge)

The Alabama's Army National Guard's Adjutant General announced on January 13, 2003 that the 167th Engineer Company had been ordered to active duty. Approximately 145 personnel in the unit were mobilized.

As of the mobilization announcement, the mobilization and deployment dates, as well as deployment locations were still classified.

The unit is equipped with the asault ribbon bridge. Its mission is to provide float bridge or rafting assets at one or more river crossing sites.
