158th Corps Support Battalion
In 1998, the 158th CSB participated in a Theater Opening Force Module (TOFM) at the NTC from 28 January to 15 February. The exercise was significant in that it was the first time that a "pure" National Guard task organization performed the mission. The Battalion regenerated 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division during week one, and performed Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSO&I) for the 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division during week two. The TOFM consisted of the 30th Corps Support Group from North Carolina, the 119th CSB from New Jersey, and the 158th CSB. The CSS force structure was determined by the NTC and based upon mission requirements. The 158th CSB operated from LSA Eagle vicinity of the RUBA.
The unit's organization differs depending on its peacetime and wartime tasking. The peacetime task organization of the unit is focused around command and control purposes. The wartime task organization is classified, but will typically include Services and Supply, Transportation, Maintenance, and Quartermaster Companies.
