129th Signal Battalion (MSE)
The mission of the 129th Signal Battalion mission is to provide tactical area support for the division and attached units.
The 129th Signal Battalion was originally organized on 1 July 1986 from new and existing units in the Maryland and Virginia Army National Guard as the 129th Signal Battalion, with Headquarters at Pikesville, MD, and assigned to the 29th Infantry Division.
The unit's headquarters relocated on 1 July 1989 to Bel Air, MD.
The unit was reorganized on 1 March 1990 in the Maryland Army National Guard.
About 70 personnel from the 129th Signal Battalion deployed in September 2001 to Bosnia, as part of NATO Stabilization Force (SFOR 10).
