126th Finance Battalion
"Dragon Purser-Pay Ready"

The 126th Finance Battalion mission is to provide finance support to the 27,000 soldiers assigned to the XVIII Airborne Corps and the United States Army Special Operations Command. Provide trained and ready deployable force capable of providing full finance support to all unit/soldiers operating in the area of responsibility during contingency and wartime operations.

The 126th Finance Battalion became the U.S. Army's largest Finance Battalion by Consolidating the 107th and the 126th Finance Battalions into one unit. The 126th Finance Battalion higher Headquarters is the 18th Soldier Support Group, 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg.

Established 13 March 1944, as a Finance Disbursing Section. Activated 25 March 1944, at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Reactivated 15 February 1966, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Inactivated on 15 April 1971, in Vietnam. Redesignated and reactivated on 16 October 1992, as the 126th Finance Battalion. Reassigned to 18th Soldier Support Group (Airborne) 16 June 1998. Consolidated with 107th Finance Battalion and redesignated as the 126th Finance Battalion 23 June 1998.
