119th Engineer Company (AFB)
The 119th Engineer Company (Combat Support Equipment) , W.Va. Army National Guard, is a 180-man Assault Float Ribbon Bridge Engineer Company in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
In August 2001 the 119th of Clarksburg was one of five National Guard engineering companies in the state dispatched to help remove mounds of discarded mattresses, carpet, appliances and other items destroyed by record flooding throughout an eight-county region. The National Guard has dubbed the relief effort "Summer Storm 2001." The National Guard helped clear and repair roads, haul trash, deliver water, evacuate families, patrol towns and residential areas to discourage looting and assist police with search and rescue operations and traffic control.
