Al-Istikhbarat al-Askariyya
Its main headquarters complex in the Aladhamia area of Baghdad, which was said to cover more than 300 km2, included a prison and interrogation center in addition to a variety of support facilities. Istikhbarat also has a facility at Al Rashid camp in Baghdad.
Istikhabarat had regional headquarters and their responsibilities included;
- Kirkuk - Iran and the Kurdish region of northern Iraq;
- Mosul - Turkey and Syria;
- Basra - Gulf states and Iran
- Baghdad (separate from the main headquarters) - Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran and opposition groups.
