NOTES
1 - The 9th Air and Space Expeditionary Task Force - Afghanistan (AETF-A) is the controlling entity for all USAF elements in Afghanistan and is headquarterd in Kabul.
2 - The 466th Air Expeditionary Group is detailed to ISAF and provides Provincial Reconstruction Teams, Embedded Training Teams and Brigade Support Teams with a variety of support functions. The 466th Air Expeditionary Squadron is based at Kandahar Airfield, the 766th at FOB Sharana, the 866th at Camp Phoenix, and the 966th at Bagram.
3 - The 702nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron is a joint US Army/US Air National Guard unit.
4 - The 42nd EATKS combines US and UK MQ-9 operations in Afghanistan in support of both OEF and ISAF. USAF elements came from the 15th Reconnaissance Squadron at Creech AFB, Nevada, while RAF elements came from No 39 Squadron, also at Creech AFB. Some missions are in fact flown by personnel at Creech AFB.
5 - The 62nd ERS is composed of elements provided by the 15th Reconnaissance Squadron at Creech AFB, Nevada. Some missions are in fact flown by personnel at Creech AFB.
6 - The 651st Air Expeditionary Group was activated on 29 June 2011 and is split based between Kandahar Air Field and Camp Bastion
