Raniyya / Rawdah
21°05'N, 42°53'E [tactical]
21°12'N, 42°50'E [residence]
In 2014 Jeffrey Lewis included this location, to which he provided a name, in his list of Saudi missile bases, but did not elaborate on the facility's particulars. A very nice residential garrison complex is found in Google Earth. Proceeding from North to South, there is an extensive administrative complex, separated by a road from a Southern residential area, which appears stratified by rank, with a small number of houses for senior officers at the North end, with a large number of barracks on the south side. Without doing a detailed annalysis, the site population would appear to be battalion sized, of about 500 troops.
The reported tactical deployment area is not evident in available Google Earth imagery.
