According to Choi Ju-hwal, who in 1995 defected from his post as Colonel and Chief of joint venture section of Yung-Seong Trading Company under the Ministry of People's Army, missile production facilities include 118 Factory in Kagamri, Kaecheon-kun in the southern province of Pyongahn.
The Kagam railstation is on the outskirts of Suchon. Factory No. 118, which is partially underground, employs an estimated 10 000 workers and is involved in a wide range of weapons production projects. Activities include engines for rockets, missiles, torpedoes and tanks. During the late 1970s it began production of reverse engineered FROG-7 rockets, and it currently produces engines for ballistic missiles.
