- Northrop Grumman Receives $153 Million ICBM Award for Guidance Systems Modernization Northrop Grumman 21 Dec 2004 -- The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a $153 million contract to continue full-rate production of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Guidance Replacement Program (GRP). This program is a key modernization effort that will upgrade the guidance-system electronics in the Minuteman III ICBM to extend the missile's service life through 2020.

- Boeing Wins $21 Million Contract with U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs Boeing 22 Dec 2004 -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] received a $21 million Navy contract to provide engineering technical support for navigational systems on United States and United Kingdom Trident I and Trident II submarines.
- Northrop Grumman Receives $248 Million Contract for ICBM Propulsion Replacement Program Northrop Grumman 22 Dec 2004 -- The Air Force today awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) a $248 million contract to continue the full-rate production phase of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Propulsion Replacement Program (PRP). The program is designed to replace aging solid rocket motor sets - stages 1, 2, and 3 - in the Minuteman III force with remanufactured motors to maintain alert readiness status through 2020.
- Study Demonstrates Effect of Anthrax Vaccine Washington File 16 Dec 2004 -- Rapidly distributing antibiotics to people exposed to anthrax spores during a bioterrorist attack could prevent about 70 percent of anthrax infections, according to a December 15 press release from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

- BAE SYSTEMS Awarded $62 Million Strategic Systems Programs Contract BAE Systems 08 Dec 2004 -- BAE Systems has been awarded a $62 million contract from the U.S. Navys Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) based in Washington, D.C. Under the contract, BAE Systems will provide system engineering and integration support for the Trident I (C4) and Trident II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile Strategic Weapon System (SWS) programs. The contract is a continuation of a range of system engineering, test, analysis, IT, and logistics solutions performed by BAE Systems for SSP since 1956.
