THE NEW NUKEFIX VERSION 1.13 RELEASED
Sun, 11 May 1997
From: Ike Jeanes
It provides many new features to assess and reduce the dangers
posed by nuclear weapons:
Version 1.13 of the computer program Nukefix is now available for
downloading (free) at http://www.nukefix.org . I hope you will find
it and its new features helpful in the effort to control the nuclear
weapons menace.
This version of the program, in a fashion never before available, allows
you to assess the health risks posed by any level of nuclear deterrence,
EVEN WHEN A NUCLEAR USE DOES NOT OCCUR. It provides
an unambiguous method to evaluate health risks at all levels of
nuclear deterrence.
Further, you can determine the probability of a nuclear use within your
remaining lifetime, see the influence of proliferation on the median
years of nuclear peace, determine levels of reliability that nations
must sustain, and see the influence of components such as accident,
deterrence, morality, etc. This is a comprehensive program that allows
you to assess the dangers as well as explore the opportunities for
sustaining nuclear peace.
I believe you will find that the analysis you can perform using the new
Nukefix will help you to make the kind of case that proponents of
nuclear weapons cannot refute. Because even if they were to run their
numbers through the program, they also would see the danger of
catastrophe.
