The Ministry of Defence's initiative enables military units to directly procure both the systems and their components.

The Government approved amendments to the resolution that simplify the procedure for procuring unmanned systems, electronic warfare (EW) equipment, and their components for the frontline.

"This decision will help provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary UAVs and EW equipment more quickly and efficiently, strengthening the combat capability of the Defence Forces," noted Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal.

From now on, military units will be able to directly procure both the systems themselves and their components, such as electric motors, batteries, and other standardized parts, without bureaucratic hurdles.

Previously, the procurement of components for both drones and electronic warfare (EW) systems was hindered by the requirement for suppliers to prepare a complete set of documents for each codified product.

Following the Cabinet of Ministers' approval of amendments to the Procedure for Procuring Domestically Produced Unmanned Systems and Tactical Electronic Warfare (EW) Equipment, and Their Components, these obstacles have now been lifted.
