Today, Ukraine received the eighth tranche of EUR 1 billion from the EU under the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative.

In total, under ERA, the Ministry of Finance has already mobilized EUR 10 billion from the European Union. The remaining funds are expected to be disbursed to Ukraine in installments through the end of 2025.

The ERA mechanism provides EUR 50 billion to Ukraine, secured by future revenues generated from frozen russian assets. The EU's contribution amounts to EUR 18.1 billion (USD 20 billion).

Since February 2022, the European Union has been the largest provider of direct budget support to Ukraine - EUR 58.5 billion for priority State Budget expenditures. In the first eight months of 2025 alone, Ukraine has received more than EUR 16.5 billion from the EU.

"We are grateful to our European partners for their continuous and predictable support, which strengthens Ukraine's financial resilience. These funds will allow us to cover priority budget expenditures. With this support, we can ensure timely social payments, restore critically important infrastructure, and keep the economy stable even under extremely challenging conditions. The EU's financial assistance significantly enhances Ukraine's ability to withstand full-scale war and brings our victory closer," said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.
