Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that he is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Moscow, according to the Reuters. As of press time, Ukraine had not responded.

Speaking in Beijing at the end of his China visit, Putin said he had always been open to meeting Zelensky but reiterated the Kremlin's stance that such a meeting had to be well prepared in advance and lead to tangible results.

In addition to participating in general events in China, the Russian leader held a number of bilateral meetings, including with Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, according to the TASS News Agency.

Putin came to China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025, as well as the commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Xinhua News Agency reported.
