Budrys extends condolences over Russia's brutal attack on Ukraine a few days ago

On 1 September, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys expressed condolences to the people of Ukraine in the virtual book of condolences of the Embassy of Ukraine over yet another horrific Russian attack on civilians and infrastructure, which took place on 28 August 2025.
"This attack is among the deadliest since 2022. It once again demonstrates Russia's cynical disregard for human life. It was a deliberate act of terror aimed at spreading fear and breaking the spirit of the brave and resilient Ukrainian nation," the Minister's condolences message reads.
As long as Ukraine and its partners seek a just and lasting peace, Russia responds with missiles, drones, and terror.
"Russia's cruelty must be resolutely condemned and completely stopped. We grieve for every loss of life. Every victim has a name, a family, a future stolen by senseless violence. We respect the courage of those who continue to stand up against Russia's brutal aggression. Lithuania will stand with Ukraine until justice is achieved and freedom is defended," the Minister wrote.
According to Budrys, Lithuania continues to firmly support Ukraine, not only in the moments of mourning, but also through joint efforts toward victory and peace in Europe.
