SSU and National Police detained individual suspected of murdering MP Andriy Parubiy

The Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the Office of the Prosecutor General have detained a man suspected of murdering people's deputy Andriy Parubiy.
The suspect was detained in Khmelnytskyi region. According to the investigation, the assassination attempt on the parliamentarian was carefully planned: the perpetrator studied the victim's schedule, mapped out the route, and prepared an escape plan.
Due to coordinated actions, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police managed to track down the suspect within 24 hours of the attack and detain him within 36 hours.
The investigation and detention were personally supervised by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The investigation is ongoing.
The law enforcement agencies will provide further information on the progress of the investigation.
