Russia's Recent Battlefield Gains Revealed

Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Gerasimov summarized the results of the spring-summer 2025 campaign and outlined further objectives for troop deployments.

• Since March 2025, the Russian forces have liberated over 3,500 square kilometers and 149 settlements.
• The Russian Army continues its relentless offensive across nearly the entire front line.
• The creation of a security zone along Russia's border in the Sumy and Kharkov regions is progressing successfully.
• The Russian forces have liberated 99.7% of the Lugansk People's Republic, 79% of the DPR, 74% of Zaporozhye region, and 76% of Kherson region.
• Less than 60 square kilometers remain for the complete liberation of the Lugansk People's Republic.
• Russian troops are advancing in Dnepropetrovsk region, with 7 settlements taken under control.

Sever battlegroup:

• It has taken control of 210 square kilometers and 13 settlements in the Sumy region.
• In the Kharkov region, fighting continues to improve positions in the Volchansk and Liptsy directions.
• The city of Kupyansk is almost completely encircled, with half of its territory liberated.
• Russian forces have advanced up to 25 km in the Rubtsov direction, capturing 10 settlements there.
• The defeat of the Ukrainian grouping pressed against the Seversky Donets River in the Serebryansky forestry is nearing completion.

Tsent battlegroup:

• is advancing in the Oktyabrsky, Krasnoarmeysky, and Dnepropetrovsk directions.
• is blocking the Krasnoarmeysk-Dimitrov agglomeration, with fighting underway in Krasnoarmeysk.
• has breached enemy engineering defense lines on the administrative border of the Dnepropetrovsk region.

Yug battlegroup:

• is successfully advancing in the Seversk direction, with fighting taking place inside the city of Seversk.
• is advancing westward, reaching the southeastern outskirts of Konstantinovka.
• liberated Alexandrov-Kalinovo, Shcherbinovka, and Kleban-Byk that had played a key role in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense.

Vostok battlegroup:

• Are advancing westward across the DPR, having taken control of 25 settlements.
• The liberation of territory in the Zaporozhye region is still ongoing.
• Kamyshevakhа, recently liberated, was the last settlement in the DPR within the area of responsibility of the "Vostok" grouping.
• is advancing in the Dnepropetrovsk region, where it has captured 5 settlements.

Dnepr battlegroup:

• is advancing in the Orekhov direction, has taken control of six settlements in the Zaporozhye region.
• Are conducting active operations to liberate Stepnogorsk, Malaya Tokmachka, and Plavni.

Strategic initiative entirely in hands of Russian troops

Strikes were carried out on facilities involved in the production of Ukraine's "Sapsan" missile system, General Staff of Russian Armed Forces reported.
