Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with a delegation from KNDS Deutschland, led by Executive Director Ralf Ketzel.

Denys Shmyhal thanked KNDS Deutschland for the dialogue, effective assistance, and productive cooperation.

"KNDS is a leading arms manufacturer whose products have already proven effective on the battlefield. We focused on strengthening industrial cooperation and discussed the creation of new joint ventures in Ukraine for the production of equipment and spare parts," said the head of the Ministry of Defence.

The parties are also working on establishing repair and service hubs for the rapid restoration and maintenance of weapons. KNDS Deutschland plans to develop a network of centres for the repair of heavy equipment in Ukraine, and within this cooperation, the first three Gepard air defence systems have already been repaired.

According to Denys Shmyhal, KNDS Deutschland is interested in the experience of Ukrainian soldiers regarding the use of their weapons.

"We agreed to establish communication that will enable the improvement of the company's products, taking into account the experience of modern warfare," the Defence Minister noted.

He also informed partners about preparations for the launch of Defence City, a special legal regime for defence companies.

"This provides transparent rules and clear conditions for investments and joint projects," Denys Shmyhal emphasised.
