Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, the first member of an FSB agent pair detained in Donetsk oblast in January this year has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

At that time, the SSU Counterintelligence apprehended two enemy agents who were tracking the locations of the Defense Forces in Kramatorsk area for the occupiers.

The ruscists hoped to use the intelligence to plan offensive operations on the eastern front using aerial bombs, kamikaze drones and all types of artillery.

The member of the enemy group, a local unemployed man recruited by the FSB, has now been convicted.

To get him to cooperate, the occupiers 'connected' him with his sister, who had left for russia at the beginning of the full-scale war and started working for the aggressor state.

The FSB also used a woman to recruit a second member of the enemy cell - her old acquaintance from Kramatorsk.

The relative of the convicted man then acted as a liaison between the agent pair and their handler from the russian special service.

During the searches of both perpetrators, phones with anonymous chats in messenger apps were seized. Through these, they coordinated their actions with russia's federal security service.

Based on evidence, the court found the agent guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The criminal case against his accomplice is currently pending in court.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
