
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with General Seán Clancy, Chair of the EU Military Committee

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with General Seán Clancy, Chair of the EU Military Committee. The parties discussed the current security situation, operational challenges, and prospects for further defense cooperation with the European Union.
Ukrainian intelligence representatives provided the partners with comprehensive information on the situation at the front, the plans of the russian occupation forces, and the situation in the russian defense industry.
The delegations also analyzed further steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities on the battlefield.
"Special attention was paid to the EUMAM training mission. Together with General Seán Clancy, we assessed its results. The training of Ukrainian military personnel demonstrates high efficiency. We considered the possibilities for further expansion of this mission. We will continue to develop the direction of training and education of personnel," said Denys Shmyhal.
In addition, during the meeting, the parties touched upon the priority needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces:
- scaling up the production of interceptors;
- FPV drones;
- long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
As Denys Shmyhal noted, Ukraine highly appreciates the practical support of the European Union in strengthening its defense capabilities.
"Through joining efforts, we are strengthening the security not only of Ukraine but of the entire European continent. I sincerely thank General Seán Clancy and all our partners in the EU for their leadership, solidarity, and strategic vision. We continue our work on the path toward a common victory and stable peace in Europe," emphasized the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.
