Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak took part in a meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee within the framework of the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Project between the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed further actions to ensure stable electricity supply and strengthen Ukraine's energy security.

"We highly appreciate the strong partnership between JICA and Ukraine in these exceptionally challenging times. Your support not only helps to restore the destroyed infrastructure, but also strengthens the protection of our energy future and empowers communities across Ukraine. We thank the people of Japan for this solidarity, which strengthens ties and lays the foundation for further development of cooperation between our companies, particularly during recovery and reconstruction," Roman Andarak emphasized.

He also noted that the Ministry of Energy is actively working to meet the needs of Ukraine's energy companies and create a strategic reserve of equipment necessary to strengthen and protect the regional energy infrastructure.

The Deputy Minister sincerely thanked Japanese partners for the wide range of practical assistance provided to Ukraine during more than three years of full-scale war. This includes electric generators for critical infrastructure facilities, mobile gas turbines, and passive protection measures for key energy facilities. This assistance is a testament to the shared commitment and mutual trust between Ukraine and Japan.
