Manufacturers of explosives will be able to receive support to scale up production. The Government has adopted a resolution to launch a dedicated grant competition through the Brave1 defence-tech cluster. The goal is to swiftly supply Ukraine's Defence Forces with explosives to maximise impact against the enemy.
The grant competition includes a transparent selection process, technical evaluation by Ukraine's Security and Defence Forces, product testing, and oversight at every stage of project implementation. Participants can secure funding to start or expand production, including for equipment, raw materials, and necessary systems.
"We've rethought the state's role in the market and started providing grants to companies driving innovations that transform the battlefield. Brave1 has already become Ukraine's largest angel investor in defence tech, issuing over 560 grants worth more than UAH 2.2 billion. Launching this new programme to scale explosives production is another step towards strengthening the country's defence capabilities and ensuring the front line is supplied with technologies quickly and in the required volumes," said Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation.
This is another step towards building a comprehensive infrastructure for the serial production of ammunition in Ukraine.
