The SSU's cyber units have uncovered an owner of a clandestine IT company in Ivano-Frankivsk who worked for the enemy during the full-scale war.

The traitor deliberately did not register the commercial entity with Ukrainian state authorities because he was working illegally and cooperated with the occupiers.

To this end, he established contact with his long-time acquaintance, pro-kremlin propagandist Mykhailo Shpira, who, following SSU investigation, was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison.

Shpira is currently hiding on the left bank of Kherson region, holding the position of 'deputy minister of digital development and mass communications' in russia's occupation administration.

It was from Shpira that the perpetrator received his first order: to create a fake 'human rights' resource to discredit Ukrainian activists.

At a time when the gauleiter was actively engaged in collecting personal data of residents of the temporarily occupied region under the guise of digitizing services for the population, the IT specialist provided him with a sample website to create various information resources based on it.

The IT specialist also developed Shpira's personal website, which the collaborator used for his media 'promotion' and to spread kremlin propaganda.

In addition to working for the occupation 'deputy minister', the suspect carried out over 40 orders from russian commercial companies.

To conceal payments from ruscists, the perpetrator used cryptocurrency wallets and also received money through third parties from former soviet countries.

The SSU's cyber units and investigators documented the suspect's crimes and apprehended him at his home.

Computer equipment, phones, records and bank cards with evidence of the crimes were seized during the searches.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion of committing a crime under Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding an aggressor state).

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Further procedural decisions will be made based on the results of expert examinations and evaluation of evidence.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
